Cat Hat Crochet Free Pattern
Cat Hats have been super popular for the last year and a half I have been crocheting and I have desperately wanted to learn how to make them. I have become increasingly addicted to making these hats and saw that most people had no idea how to make them.
Since that day I was beyond determined to find the right pattern for a one size fits most, I researched as much as I could and wasted a bunch of yarn. I love making this pattern and sell my cat hats at conventions/markets and they do really well!
With A LOT of trial and error, I have finally got this pattern right and wanted to share it with everyone so you won’t have to waste your yarn. With some patience you will get this pattern down and will be crocheting non stop!
Materials:
You can use any size yarn, hook, and colors, however this is based off of the supplies that I used, adjust based off of your own supplies:
6mm hook
size 4 weight yarn( Loops & Threads)
Yarn Needles
Scissors
Abbreviations:
This pattern works in continuous rounds which means we will not be stitching closed or fastening off(FO) until the end. This will also need to be flipped inside out after sewing tails.
I will be using these terminology throughout the entire pattern and will use abbreviations that are commonly used:
Chain: CH
Slip Knot
Fasten Off: FO
Slip Stitch: SLST
Half-Double Crochet: HDC
Double Crochet: DC
Color Change: CC
Front Post: FP
Back Post: BP
